RE: Anti-freeze sale
Are you talking about the RV Anti-Freeze for the Water Lines or the Radiator?? I take it you are talking about the "Water Line Pink Stuff" at $7 for 2 that still a bit pricey, we get it here at home in Tomah WI for $2.50 a Gal and on sale alot of times for 2 bucks, sorry to bust your bubble, but that is a bit pricey
RE: Petro Stations for Gas
This comment from a dedicated nine year FJ/110,000 mile user. The DW is happier at the Petro Stations as she is upset/ticked off at FJ deleting the 1 cent per gallon credit in these times of high fuel prices.
Flying-J now offers a .03 cent discount, BUT you must spend at least $10 in the Flying-J store the previous month.
I too have noticed that Flying-J fuel prices are not the lowest like they used to be. Has Flying-J been sold or something? Because this new policy just sucks...
I get the .03 Cents back at the Petro with my Good Sam Club Card and i dont have to spend anything first!!! the DW and I went to Okla and use the Petros all the way down, and got the $$$ back in hand at the Check Out!!!
RE: Water Pump Issue that won't go away.... help
Ok just my 2 cents, i had this close to no pressure also, you have replaced the pump but did you change or clean the screen that infront of it between the tank and pump, ours look ok from the outside but when i took it apart it was pluged up with grit and sand!!!
RE: Fuel comsumption at idle?
When i was driven OTR truck, we had a rule of thumb that was @ 1000rpm we would burn 1 gal/hr, i had a 425 cat motor in my pete
RE: Suzuki Vitara
I believe that it must be the 4wd version with the transfer case. I don't believe that the 2wd versions is towable 4 down. Be sure to check the manual.
the 2 WD can be towed only if it is a standard shift ,, we have a '05 GV auto w/the manual 4x4 ,, and the blue ox base plate and tow bar ,, it travels down the road like a dream ,, i dont even know it is back there except when i look in the rear moitor,, the GV is right at the weight that you may or my not need an aux break in the car ,, we do it too is a blue ox break system
RE: CB Radio
We have a Radio Shack unit similar to gmanati. It works fine with the factory antenna. The only thing I dislike about it is the control setup on the mocrophone. You can go up and down the channel range but there is no number display to tell you where you are. Also even if you're locked on a channel and shut off the ignition the radio automatically reverts to channel 9 when it's turned back on.
If I had it to do all over again I would get one with the channel up/down, radio on/off, channel lock, channel display, and volume controls all on the mic. It's hard to find a place to mount the radio where it's out of the way yet can be seen and reached to change settings.
you should have a red, black and orange wire comming out the back of the radio, the orange wire should be hooked to a full time power sorce to keep your chanel on where you left it ,, so it dont go back to ch 9,, i have a CB shop on the west side of the state send me a PM if you have any more questions , i may have pushed the limits with what i have said here about the radio
RE: #2 or TP in the potty?
There are just 2 things that you MUST have...
Rubber gloves and "courtesy spray" - its makes the entire process from start to finish the best ;)
I never wore gloves when using the bathroom but you don't list TP?
That is what the gloves are for!!!! :B
RE: #2 or TP in the potty?
When the DW and I were looking at a new MH we stoped at an RV dealer and asked to look at MH that had a 1 room bath in it,, not the kind that has a shower on one side and the toilet on the other,, the DW wanted it all in one room and the guy asked us "why?? no one uses the bathrooms in the MH",,, the DW picked her stuff up and we left,, she told him WE DO,, that is the first thing she looks at ,, if it fits her likeing the the MH is in the running,, well she found one in our bounder!!! we use it all the time ,,, both #1 & #2 !!!!
RE: I'm I wrong?
No heat here, after we winterize the MH in late Nov.. we unhook the ALL the Batts.. and lock the doors, it got down to -35 night befor last..
RE: RV as a business expense
Yes you can write off the TT, we wrote off our bounder, but as many have said get and ask a tax pro.. dont do the taxes yourself let them do it, even that tax expence is deductable!!!
RE: THis picture pretty much says it all ...
They outta put that in a movie or something' :W:W
they did it was called "RV" dont you remember when robin was crawling around on the rock trying to get signal
RE: GIVING AWAY EXCESS EQUIPMENT
My DW and I put stuff out on the curb alot with a sign "free stuff" and when we do, we get ppl coming to our door and asking if they can take it, we tell them to take it all,, we also bet each other on how fast it will go,, had a chair out there and it was gone in less than 5 minn..it is so funny to watch ppl pick your stuff up from the curb,, they try to act like we are not watching or they hope nobody see's them
RE: "RV" the DVD
How sweet would that be. Property around me is going for $50K per 1/2 acre. There is a lot behind me I would like to buy and build a big garage. I can afford the garage but not the lot. I doubt that my borough would approve a building permit for a garage that big either.
$50G !!!! a 1/2 acre!!!!!! OMG, i thought it was bad at $5k an acre, i dont think i will complane any more, good luck with the "RV" delema, i'd go get it or another copy, has anyone heard if there is going to be a "RV 2" i hope so
RE: "RV" the DVD
Do a lot of you store your MH/RV? If I could not see my and walk into it or work on something or jump in if for a short run I would not be a happy camper but I live in the boondocks with the only zoning based on how much land you control around you.
Our MH stays with us at our home, it is parked on the side of the house in the garage we biult for it.
RE: Electric question
Wow! Thanks for the quick responses....
The A/C is run off a digital thermostat with 2 zone settings (1 per A/C)....as a precaution I was thinking of setting the bedroom at 80 during the day and the living area at 74-75 and then switching at night....I figured this would keep only 1 a/c compressor kicking on at a time....am I wrong??
WOW way to HOT, why run AC at these temps, OMG i would be dieing in that heat, set it lower, get it COOLER, 68-70, well just funnen ya, good luck, you are on the right track
